Effective May 7, 2018 Syphilis IgG/IgM Ab has replaced RPR.
This test is intended as an aid in the diagnosis of syphilis infection in conjunction with clinical signs and symptoms. The detection of treponemal antibodies may indicate recent, past or successfully treated syphilis. This test cannot distinguish between active and treated infection. A negative test does not completely rule out the possibility of infection with syphilis.
