Special Instructions

Scheduling Procedure:

         1 – 2 weeks prior to date of patients’ surgery the Operating Room scheduler will email

         Laboratory Director, Pathology group and Chemistry Supervisor the following:

                 1. Patient'sName

                 2. Surgeon

                 3. Date and Time of Surgery

During Surgery:

           Operating Room Staff must phone  the Chemistry Department, ext 6090, as soon as the specimen is collected. This protocol should be followed for both the baseline and the intra-operative PTH tests.
