Test Code INHIB Inhibitor Testing for Circulating Anticoagulants (Mixing Studies)
Performing Laboratory
Hunterdon Medical Center Laboratory
Useful For
Inhibitor testing is performed to differentiate a factor deficiency from a circulating inhibitor. PTand PTT testing are performed initially to determine the status of the patient.
A normal result indicates that there is no circulating inhibitor and the test(s) will be reported as "Inhibitor Testing Not Indicated."
Inhibitor Testing will be performed on all abnormal results.
Test Includes
PT and PTT followed by Inhibitor testing, if indicated.
