Useful For
CRP is synthesized by the liver and is classified as an acute phase protein. The measurement of CRP is useful in the detection and evaluation of inflammatory disorders, tissue injury and infection.
CRP may also be used to detect early postoperative wound infection and to follow therapeutic response to anti-inflammatory agents.
