Useful For
- C3 is decreased in a number of inflammatory and infectious diseases. Primarily used to monitor active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
- Decreased C3 may also be associated with acute glomerulonephritis, membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis, immune complex disease, septic shock, and end-stage liver disease.
- Investigating and undetectable total complement (CH50)
